Randy Bumpers

Randy Bumpers is a higher education scholar-practitioner bridging artificial intelligence (AI) in education, instructional design, and digital equity. He is the director of student success and learning experience design at the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU) where he works on national student success initiatives with Regional Public Universities. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Master of Science in Instructional Design and Development from the University of South Alabama. Prior to AASCU he worked as an instructional design graduate assistant at the Innovation in Learning Center at the University of South Alabama where he developed training for faculty in online and blended learning pedagogy. Randy is co-founder of the Giving Access to the People (GAP) Project, an educational program that aims to enhance the quality of life for all youth with technology integrated learning environments. He is also a first-generation college graduate and member of the 2018 class of the Harvard National Institute of Urban School Leaders.
