Jody Dixon

Jody Dixon is a strategic intercultural facilitator, project manager, and educator with over a decade of expertise in international education. As Assistant Director of International Education and Global Initiatives at the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU), she spearheads global learning initiatives and drives institutional internationalization through strategic partnerships and stakeholder engagement. Previously, she recruited and advised graduate students at American University’s School of Education and served five years in Japan as a TESOL certified assistant language teacher and trainer with the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program. A Jamaican native with a B.Sc. in Geography from The University of the West Indies, Mona, and an M.A. in International Training and Education from American University, she is currently pursuing a doctorate in the Higher Education Leadership & Policy Studies (HELPS) program at Howard University. Jody’s research interrogates the intersection of Historically Black Colleges and Universities, the global Black diaspora, and emerging technologies—advocating for AI-driven, equitable solutions that enhance student engagement, self-efficacy, and competency.
